I don’t know I missed this, but I’m happy I know about it now.
I grew up watching “Urban Cowboy” and “Pure Country” on a weekly basis in Texas. So, King George Strait and Johnny Lee were household names in my house as a kid to say the least.
Old Dominion dropped their “Oldies But Goodies” album back on September 6th of 2024 with all of their hits and a few extras. The extra song that really fills my heart is the cover they did of Johnny Lee’s classic “Lookin’ For Love”.
Old Dominion just released the video for the song this week and on Thanksgiving week. Which is something else to be thankful for in my life. The video is pretty simple. It’s just a video of them in the studio where they were obviously bringing that song back to life and they brought it back to life in a damn good way.
