Willie Nelson’s picnic is a summer staple y’all, and the annual picnic has been going down in some form or another since 1973. It obviously took one year off in 2020, and I’m sure you know caused that cause we all lived it. Of course it came back in 2021 and it’s been smooth sailing since then.
Willie is officially taking his iconic 4th of July Picnic back to his home state of Texas. Mainly cause things are better in Texas.
This year, Willie Nelson is set to headline the picnic as he’s done so for the past 11 years now with his friend Bob Dylan, The Avett Brothers, The Mavericks, Asleep at the Wheel and Tami Neilson. It’s a pretty damn good lineup too, and as the Red-Headed Stranger said himself, fans really can’t say they’re “too busy” to make the picnic…
“I’m 92 years old and I’ll be there so you have no excuse. I look forward to bringing back my annual 4th of July Picnic to the city I love and sharing this special event with all my Austin fans.”
