The ’90s had some the best country music of any decade ever. And if you don’t agree…you’re wrong.
“Holler” put out a list of the best songs from the ’90s. Here are the Top 10, in no particular order:
1. “Chattahoochee” by Alan Jackson
2. “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” by Toby Keith
3. “Forever and Ever, Amen” by Randy Travis
4. “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks
5. “Independence Day” by Martina McBride
6. “Achy Breaky Heart” by Billy Ray Cyrus
7. “Fancy” by Reba McEntire
8. “Neon Moon” by Brooks & Dunn
9. “Maybe It Was Memphis” by Pam Tillis
10. “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” by Brooks & Dunn
I want to applaud whoever put this Top 10 list together for at least trying to make this list good, but they missed some damn artists. For starters…where in the hell is King George Strait? What about Tim McGraw, Shania Twain or Diamond Rio to name a few?
Randy Travis’s “Forever And Ever, Amen” (which is a damn fine country song too) came out in the 1987 by the way. So, that song should technically not even be on this list.
