Do you still watch country music award shows? Not really. That’s just me though.
A lot of people apparently don’t because they say they don’t play enough “real” country music, or there are too many cross-over artists that have nothing to do with country.
Well, Kip Moore has an answer for all that.
In a recent interview he said, “I feel like we’re desperate in a way, when we don’t need to be. But you don’t see other genres doing that. They think by getting Nick Jonas to play with whoever, then that’s gonna be more powerful than a Cody Johnson, before he became a star.”
“Nick Jonas, just because he’s on the show…#1 his fans aren’t gonna tune in, and the people that really love country are gonna say, ‘What is this?’ and then turn it off.”
No response from Nick Jonas as of yet. But shots have indeed been fired. I also agree whole heartedly with Kip on this too.
