The Red Clay Strays Have Been Crowned the 2025 ACM Awards Best New Group of the Year

I’m not sure who’s in charge of the 60th annual ACM Awards, but they’re getting these early winners right y’all.

The Red Clay Strays just won the ACM Award for Best New Group of the Year, and fans are loving it. After getting snubbed at the CMAs last year in favor of Old Dominion, this win must feel like sweet redemption for the dudes from Mobile, Alabama.

Their breakout hit “Good Godly Woman” helped put them on the map…and then songs like “Wondering Why” and “Stone’s Throw” have only ramped up their fanbase.

It’s really cool to see a band that grinds on the road, and pays their dues, finally get the recognition they deserve. The message online is: “It’s about time!”

You watch the 60th annual ACM Awards come Thursday May 8th on Prime.
