So, the 2025 American Music Awards have apparently been branded as a ‘hot mess’ and the ‘worst show ever’ after a lot of artists didn’t even bother to show up to this year’s ceremony in Las Vegas.
Of course disgruntled fans are the best at voicing their opinions and they didn’t let us down. A lot of people took to their social media accounts to complain about the lack of big name artists actually being at the show, which was held at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Monday by the way. Memorial Day….when people were probably busy barbecuing and drinking as they should be doing on one of America’s most treasured holidays.
Performers along with nominees like Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift, Gwen Stephani and Beyoncé to name a few were all absent from the event. One person who was in attendance was nice enough to point out with a video on her TikTok of how Blake wasn’t there for his performance like people at home possibly thought he was.
And then you have Gwen’s performance…who was also nowhere to be seen in person at the AMAs, but her performance was seen across America on TV just fine.
Jennifer Lopez, who hosted the show, even attempted to single-handedly bring the star power by performing a six-minute medley of 23 hits by the evening’s nominees according the . Yes, that actually happened.
Now she did in fact spark a little criticism over a cringe-worthy make-out session with male and female dancers, and viewers labeled that as being ‘desperate’ in trying to gain attention. I’m just happy that I can mark myself safe in even watching that mess.
