Aaron Watson’s son is following in dads footsteps of playing country music and I mean real country music too.
Being a Watson boy…he’s doing the right thing and luckily he’s got real talent like his dad. His guitar skills might be a little better. Please don’t tell Aaron that though. I’m a longtime AW fan.
Jake Watson has also on the road with dad playing led guitar in the band. So, hopefully he getting paid more than his weekly allowance for his talent. As a dad I’d probably tell him how getting experience is his pay, but that’s just me.
Jake posted an acoustic cover of “Nobody In His Right Mind Would’ve Left Her” on his socials, which was first released by Keith Whitley in 1985 and then King George Strait put it out in 1986 to make it an actual country music hit. The song was single handedly written by the great Dean Dillion and I’m sure as long as it’s being played is all that really matters to him.
Now I feel Jake could go ahead and record this song to put it on an album…and then he could start his touring career to promote that album. Hell…he can maybe even have his dad open up for him. It would be great for his dad’s career.
