This is not good timing for a comeback. I mean he could’ve said something before signing a new record deal.
In the beginning there were three Perrys. There was Neil, Reid and Kimberly. Now we’re down to just one Perry.
After they recently signed with Nashville Harbor and Make Wake Artists, The Band Perry‘s Reid Perry is leaving the band now. That leaves Kimberly Perry and her husband Johnny Costello left. Neil had already left the band this comeback to pursue a solo career.
I was hoping this comeback would be better than when they first hit the country music scene with their song “Hip to My Heart,” which was released in November of 2009. It only reache number 20 the country singles chart at the time though. Then they followed that up with “If I Die Young” and that’s what really made them famous. Lets be real here. I still along to that song when I hear it. Hell…we all do.
They had a few number one songs that followed that up and then they tried going pop. That obviously didn’t work out well for them.
So, they finally announced a little comeback to country music with Kimberly, her husband and Reid. Now Reid is leaving. Maybe Kimberly and her husband can make a duo work. I mean Kimberly can sing her ass off.
Reid said in an Instagram post, “I’ll be around, managing a new voice I believe in more than anything, Ryan Coleman…I wish Kimberly and TBP the best as they move forward into the future.”
