The Red Clay Strays Said They “Almost Died” On A Private Jet On Their Way To The ACMs

The Red Clay Strays might want to start taking a bus everywhere they go, because they “almost died” on their way to Redwest 2025 festival in Utah too.

The band said they “almost died” after their private jet malfunctioned while traveling to the ACM Awards. Apparently a piece of the plane’s engine flew off during takeoff, forcing the aircraft to circle for hours before making an emergency landing.

The group described the flight as terrifying, but they were able to safely switch planes and continue their trip. Luckily, the band still made it to the show…and it’s a good thing too, because they won Group of the Year.

Only if mainstream country radio could start playing them now…all might be right in the world.
