Aaron Waston Teased A Song From His New Album “Horse Named Texas” That’s Due March 6, 2026 That Pays Tribute To King George Strait

This is how you tease a new song. Especially if it’s content surrounds King George Strait.

Aaron Watson has a brand new album called “Horse Named Texas” and if I counted correctly…this will be his tenth studio album come March 6, 2026. There are 26 country twangers on this album and I know this…because that’s the kind of country music Aaron always puts out. The man’s music never misses the country music mark of being certified country music twangers.

Track number nine on this new album of Aaron’s is “Fool Hearted Fool” and it’s a nod to King George. So, Aaron being from Texas and a respectful man who respects country music’s royalty wanted to make sure George was okay with this song.

He said…

”This message goes out to George Strait, sir. I’m worried that I may have ripped you off with a song I wrote and recorded…it’s called “Fool Hearted Fool”. It’s about a cowboy who can’t stand listening to you anymore…because it reminds him of his ex.

I put some parts throughout the song that are strikingly similar to some of your older stuff…I did it in purpose…just trying to…you know…tip the hat to you. But I’ve been told it’s not copyright infringement…but it would be really nice George if you could just give me a thumbs up or a thumbs down in the comments.”

Aaron even offered to open for George, wash his bus and planes. He said, “works for cheap”, too. And then he played a little clip of the song and it’s sounds like solid country gold.

I seriously can’t wait to hear this entire album…and especially this song. Being from Texas myself…I’d work for cheap to hang around King George too.
