The “Dixie” Chicks Announced The “Taking the Long Way” 20th Anniversary Tour

I will always believe Natalie Maines is reason The “Dixie” Chicks had their career ruined, and mainly because of her mouth.

With that being said. Their first two albums, “Wide Open Spaces” and “Fly”, were flawless country albums. Then after the dust settled from country music fans who turned their backs on these women for hating on our country at a time when our country was a little pissed off due the horrific attacks of 9/11. The “Dixie” Chicks dropped their album, “Taking the Long Way” in 2006. Which had the song “Not Ready To Make Nice” as they were doubling down on their opinions of hating on people who said “f*ck you” to their career in country music.

Regardless of how you feel about Natalie and girls…The Chicks found their audience of haters and they are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album, “Taking the Long Way”, with a 16-date tour this fall. They said they’re, “still not ready to make nice too.

The Chicks will perform the album in its entirety, as well as some of their other hits. Pre-sale tickets went on sale Wednesday (5/27/26)
