Cody Johnson officially released the fan-inspired music video for “Take Me Back (Leave Me There)”, from his 2026 album, “Banks of the Trinity”, on September 17, 2026.
It’s being dubbed as the “COJO Nation Edition,” the project features a compilation of personal memories, photos, and videos submitted by his fans. After Cody put out a call for submissions, over 17,000 clips were actually sent in over just a few days.
While the song itself was originally written about a deeply personal romantic memory of Cody’s, the final video expands that sentiment into a celebration of life’s best, unforgettable moments shared by his community.
It’s a nice twist for a video to a hell of a song.
