My prayers have been answered and it’s really damn good to be Ella Langley too.
Ella’s song, “Choosin’ “Texas”, is officially the longest-leading #1 hit in Billboard’s HOT 100 history as of this week (9/20/26). It was written by Ella Langley, Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick, and Joybeth Taylor. And there was a kangaroo involved as well…but that’s a different story.
The song has now spent a record-breaking 23rd week at #1, passing up Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” And that news alone fills my country music heart.
