Chancey Williams Filmed The Music Video For The Title Track Of His New Album, “Thirsty and Blue”, On An Iconic Western Movie Set

If you’re not familiar with Chancey Williams yet…you’re a a bad country music fan.

He’s a Wyoming native and a rodeo cowboy turned country artist. Chancey is also one of only two artists to both compete at Cheyenne Frontier Days and also perform on the main stage. The other was Chris LeDoux, if that tells you anything.

Now Chancey definitely leans into his western roots on songs like “Town Broke”, “Rodeo In the Rain” and “Things A Cowboy Ain’t Ever Gonna Say”. which also features Ned LeDoux, and as he should. He does it in a way that makes the west accessible to fans of country and western music despite not always living the lifestyle.

Chancey dropped his new album, “Thirsty and Blue”, on Friday (10/23/26)) and he also released a cinematic music video for the title track. And it was actually filmed on the same set of some of the most iconic westerns in history.

The video for “Thirsty and Blue” was filmed at the Mezcal Movie Set in Arizona. It’s an historic set that was constructed back in 1968 and has served as the set for westerns like Tombstone, The Quick and the Dead, The Gambler, and television shows like Gunsmoke and Bonanza.
