Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan‘s “The Road” is on CBS and it’s actually pretty good.
It follows 12 emerging musicians as they compete as opening acts for Keith Urban at music venues nationwide. I love that the tour manager is Gretchen Wilson too. I mean she’s a strait up bad ass who’s been known to stand anywhere with a baby on her hip.
One of the best moments on the show for me is Blake telling stories about the road. He told this funny story about Brad Paisley pranking him and it involved his bus…along with some raw chicken.
”I got pranked by Brad Paisley, who came on my bus one time to say hi. We were doing a show together and I didn’t realize it but he had one of those air fresheners that you stick on the wall, but he took the freshener out and he had put raw chicken inside it.
And stuck underneath the table of my tour bus…and for weeks we couldn’t figure out what had died on the bus. And then finally, one day, we found it. I hate you, Brad.”
That’s one hell of a prank too.
