When you really grow up…you look at life a little differently.
Luke Bryan doesn’t want to be known as just the “party guy” in country music. He says it’s fun and loves having that part of his “repertoire”, but he’s explored other themes in his songwriting.
He said , “[I have songs that] talk about small town life, and the nuances of growing up in small town life. The ups and downs that come with that, I think country music has always told the story of the American journey.
It’s just what makes country music special. You can have serious songs, heart break songs, cheating songs, the bar songs. Country music can make all that happen.”
