Braxton Keith’s debut album is finally here y’all!
The native Texan began gaining country fan’s attention in 2024 with his viral song “Cozy”. And ever since then, he’s been a country music-making machine. In 2025, he gifted fans with “Wind Blows”, “Baby You Do”, “Bye In Goodbye”, and his collaboration with fellow Texas honky tonker Randall King for “Cheatin’ On My Honky Tonk”.
Since we’re here talking about Braxton and his country music bangers…the man also gifted country fans with two additional songs during the fall of 2025. He released the drinking song “Prescription” and the cover that brought King George Strait’s “The Chair” back to life. The song was actually written by Dean Dillion and Hank Cochran in 1985 and it’s a country music masterpiece in my humble opinion too.
The “Real Damn Deal” proves Braxton Keith is just that. The man has been giving country fans real country music since breaking onto the scene. And although his music might follow some of that cocky flair as the title of his debut album…he admitted that he was worried the record’s name might be a little too in your face as a title.
“I shot down the idea of this album title when it was first brought up. It felt cocky, and that’s not who I am.”
Then after sitting with it for a while, and realizing how country music is having a mainstream moment, he decided to lean into that bold name and just go with it. He said…
“But, everyone is in on country music right now, so why not use it as a big flashing reminder that country music is cool? This album is my way of taking country music back to what it was…the real damn deal.”
The fifteen songs on this album are worth the fifty two minutes of your time to listen too. And then just keep it on repeat for a while, because it’s really that damn good.
