Not only did she ride in on a giant disco ball sack the opening night of her tour, she also said some pretty silly shit.
Kacey Musgraves kicked off her “Middle of Nowhere Tour” on Friday at the United Center in Chicago, after cancelling the original opening night in Chicago along with three other scheduled shows. And the cancelling of her shows was probably due to waiting on her giant disco ball sack…because it takes time to build disco balls y’all.
During the same show in Chicago, Kacey took some time to get serious and address the crowd about immigrants, urging her fans to donate in honor of her birthday to an organization that helps the children of immigrants who she says have been “deported unfairly”.
“It’s a wonderful organization, and they help give aid, legal aid, and money to children whose parents have been deported unfairly. It’s not a political thing, it’s just these kids need help.”
She tried to point out how it’s not political, but it is. I also don’t know what’s unfair about being deported when you’re in a country illegally. It happens in every damn country on earth. If you brake into my home and in you’re literally my home illegally, I’m going to force you out of my home aggressively if need be. It’s that simple.
I welcome legal immigration with open arms though. If you want to visit or live in any country…it’s best to knock on the front door to be invited in first to not “deported unfairly”.
